Key witness of paramilitaries may imprison Uribe
On April 16, Jacinto Alberto Soto Toro, alias Lucas, was captured in a municipality of Antioquia.
This paramilitary was the finance chief of the AUC, he knows his biggest secrets and can testify against top-level politicians, businessmen and drug traffickers, who financed the paramilitaries on a national scale.
The paramilitary Jacinto Soto Toro was captured in 1998 in a parking lot in Medellín and led to the opening of a large judicial process in which the funders of the paramilitaries throughout the country were investigated.

This was the official record of his raid where they found computers, accounting documents, and a beeper that he used to communicate.

Compromising evidence was found there that was not investigated by the authorities but is now being shown to the country.
In the first place, a communication from the Beeper of the paramilitary chief of September 15, 1997, a month and a half before the Aro massacre, in which they told him that he should call Governor Álvaro Uribe Vélez, to arrange a meeting with a member of the paramilitary organization. Presumably, the meeting was related to the preparation and execution of the Aro massacre.

Secondly, there are some beepers received on October 25, 1997, one of the days on which the Aro massacre was taking place, in which Jacinto Soto Toro, alias Lucas, was communicating with the merchant Román Tapias, financier of the paramilitary group in Ituango, alias Junior, one of the paramilitary leaders who entered the Aro and with the drug traffickers brothers Pacho and Jaime Angulo Osorio responsible for the murder of Jesús María Valle in which Álvaro Uribe Vélez is also involved. Here are the CTI reports that prove it.

Jacinto Soto Toro knows the brothers Luis Alberto Villegas and Juan Guillermo Villegas Uribe and the drug trafficker Santiago Gallón Henao, who were partners in real estate sales with Álvaro Uribe Vélez, especially in the sale of the Guacharacas farm. Let us remember that Juan Guillermo Villegas Uribe and Álvaro Uribe Vélez, appear in one of the interceptions that the Supreme Court made of the ex-convict in the current judicial process that is being followed against him for procedural fraud and witness manipulation. This document shows that Jacinto Soto Toro fully knows Uribe's partners.

Jacinto Soto Toro also knows the money of the paramilitaries that managed the Antioquia Livestock Fund, whose Board of Directors was Álvaro Uribe Vélez between 1995 and 1997, since this fund appears in the paramilitary accounts.

At this time there are threats and pressure against Jacinto Soto Toro to testify in favor of Álvaro Uribe Vélez in the process that was opened to the ex-convict for the Aro and La Granja massacres. It is important to surround this witness and protect his life so that he can declare his true relationship with Álvaro Uribe Vélez and with all the politicians and businessmen who financed the paramilitaries.
No more impunity!
